SMEL (Systems Microbial Ecology Laboratory) focus on researches microbial ecology, particularly human microbiome as well as the environmental microbiome.We focused on developing bioinformatic tools to analyze metagenomic data and ecological theory-based interpretation of microbiome signature. We always welcome new members who are interested in all area of microbial ecology and more. The SMEL lab is currently recruiting scientists to fill different roles within the laboratory.
